Chant de Fleur- 2001 Gray TB/Holsteiner mare

The newest member of the Menagerie broodmare band is Chant de Fleur (aka Lily). She is a TB/Holsteiner cross with extraordinary jumping bloodlines. Her father is the beautiful and athletic Chant de Paix, a stallion competing successfully in advanced eventing despite his relatively small stature. His grandfather is the supremely influential stallion, Cor de la Bryere. A horse that has been described by many of Europe's greatest breeders as a 'gift from heaven.' He was the champion of the 1971 Holsteiner 100 day test. He was noted for an incredible bascule and phenomenal jumping ability. His other strengths were his strong nerves, intelligence and tremendous willingness to perform.

Lily comes to us already in foal to Art I Decked Out. Art I Decked Out is a handsome pinto grandson of Art Deco, a well known Dutch Warmblood stallion. Art I Decked Out stands stud in Florida at Adventure Beach Ponies. His breeding is Dutch Warmblood, TB and Welsh. We look forward to showing this foal, if someone doesn't buy it to show for themselves. Lily was added to our broodmares because she is a lovely mare and we expect she will produce high quality, athletic medium to large ponies when crossed with our stallion, Ziba.
